Agree that it's the old story but the way it's presented is beautiful. One movie was a historical epic. Both were decorated with glitter, and lavish, palaces but “Sairat” was in the real natural surroundings which completely related everyone to their real liveliness with real love feeling. But the same old story has been presented beautifully by “Nagraj Manjule” with Simplicity and realistic Experience. The Commoners being the lead actors worked like magic and the story being set in a village showed us the reality of our country. The reason was the simple realistic background and not the enchanting and lavish palaces. It was the presentation, genuine acting of the actors, background/village where it was set, and realness that worked for the movie.
